After Ridley Scott’s plans for further Alien prequels failed, the legendary sci-fi series returned in August with a new installment that tells a completely different story. Alien: Romulus is between the first two films the saga and revolves around an exciting heist mission in space.
The story centers on the young Rain Carradine (Cailee Spaeny), who does everything she can to escape forced labor in a gloomy mining colony. But the Weyland-Yutani corporation is ruthless. Only the Theft of cryostasis capsules from an abandoned space station can save them from hell.

With this success, Alien: Romulus 2 is surely a given, right? Not so fast! Director Fede Álvarez has already ideas for part 2but does not want to release the film immediately. In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter shortly after the release of Alien: Romulus, he shared his thoughts on the matter:
My philosophy is that in two years you can never [eine Fortsetzung] You need distance. You have to get the audience to to really want it. When you think of Alien and Aliens, there are seven years between them. But we definitely have ideas about where we want to go.
