Due to, among other things, increasing mental illness among young people, the school nurses’ workload is also increasing. Now they are also raising the alarm about large student groups, more stress and lack of time.
Torgny Öhrn, chief safety representative for the school nurses in Helsingborg, believes that the situation is unsustainable.
– We work to be able to make ends meet, catch up with our work, there are a lot of things that need to be done. There is a lot of documentation, we have to catch up with our basic mission, plus student health, plus many other parts that have to be caught up. There is simply not enough time, says Öhrn.
