The Saveurs et sante Expo train on track until 23

That’s it … The Train Expo “Saveurs & Santé” was inaugurated this Wednesday, October 5 and opened its doors to the public at Gare de Lyon in Paris!

Launched by SNCF and AG2R LA MONDIALE, this event responds to a major concern of the French: how to eat well to live better?

According to an Ipsos study, 7 years ago, they were only 52% to say they are worried about the effects of diet on their body. Today, this feeling has become widespread: we know that a good diet contributes to better health and therefore to a better quality of life as well as to longer life expectancy.

Adding flavor to your plate and taking care of your physical shape are not mutually exclusive. Quite the contrary! Tasting simmered dishes is both a source of pleasure for our taste buds and a benefit for our health capital. The Flavors & Health Trainwhich crisscrosses France from 5 to 23 October 2016 through 17 stages, is a unique opportunity to learn to reconcile the two with ease.

Boarding the Train is a real journey through the senses and flavors. Researchers, artisans and local producers are our guides. Much more than an exhibition space, the Saveurs & Santé Train is a discovery destination. It offers to discover or rediscover, in a fun and educational spirit, the benefits of a diet “from the ground to the plate” on our body.

Showcasing the exceptional French culinary heritage and the wealth of know-how in our regions, the Train is the unmissable event for gourmet vitality throughout France. Food professionals, guarantors of our knowledge of the culinary art, will share the recipes and secrets of the flavors of French cuisine.

Scientific partners and health professionals mobilized around the issue of eating well, Eat healthy, eat well for a better life will also be on board. They will address topics such as how taste works and the mechanisms of tasting. Among them, a first-rank scientific partner, the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Research, accompanied by the National Institute of Agricultural Research (INRA) and the National Institute of Health and of medical research (Inserm). 19 partners from various backgrounds and great chefs are also associated with the event.
