During the night of Saturday, the hacker group Akira carried out a cyber attack against the Finnish IT provider Tietoevry.
The attack meant that Tietoevry was forced to shut down Sweden’s largest HR system, Primula, and the payroll systems of around 120 authorities are knocked out.
One of the authorities that has been hacked is the Sami Parliament.
– Our staff cannot read their salary specifications, but the money is paid out, says Lars-Ove Sjaan, chief of staff at the Sami Parliament.
He says that administration around travel bills and the like is also still affected for the employees of the Sami Parliament.
– The state service center is the one that mainly does not work as expected after the hacking, he says.
According to Tietoevry, it may take weeks before everything is back to normal again.
