Mathieu Pernot is the winner of the Henri-Cartier-Bresson prize. A prize endowed with a scholarship that allows him to carry out a very personal project: to go to Lebanon in the footsteps of his grandfather who settled there at the beginning of the last century and his father born in Beirut. A journey that also takes him to Syria and Iraq. But in a century, the Eden of the Middle East has turned into hell. His photos exhibited at the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson in Paris testify to this in a very moving way.
