The royal house breaks with Marabou as royal court supplier

The court’s press department confirms the news to TT in an email:

“King. Hovstaten and the company in question do not currently have any business relationship. In an overall assessment, the Court Supply Board therefore decided at the end of last year not to renew the court supply contract,” it says.

Marabou was blacklisted

The Marabou brand came into focus last year when the owner Mondelez was blacklisted by the Ukrainian National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) as a result of its operations in Russia.

Several stores removed the goods from their shelves and actors such as SJ, SAS and the Armed Forces chose to boycott the company.

Removed as royal court supplier

Mondelez later stated that it would separate its Russian operations from the rest of the company before the end of the year, but the operations would not be closed or sold.

There are around 130 royal court suppliers, according to The Royal Court Suppliers’ Association.
