Crime fans probably know Nathan Fillion well before his cop series The Rookie. Before that, he starred for eight seasons in the format called Castle, in which he solved tricky cases as crime writer Richard Castle.

The Filming the series was anything but a walk in the parkthe actor reported in an interview. But not because of the alleged quarrel with his co-star.

Fillion revealed how bad the Castle filming was a few years ago in the Inside of You podcast:

Castle was stressful, just because of the shooting schedule. It was an intense schedule. Five and sometimes six days [pro Woche].

When asked if and how he coped with it at the time, Fillion simply referred to his appearance between 2009 and 2016 while the series was on air:

You can see photos of me from that time. I was increasingly tired and bloated with time.

At some point, however, he saw the light at the end of the tunnel. The way he sees it today, something like this can be endured as long as it is a process that is foreseeable and finite.

It is not yet known when his current hit series The Rookie will end. At the moment, fans are waiting for the 7th season and further spin-offs for an entire Rookie series universe are also not ruled out.
