The Rookie series creator reveals how many seasons the series

The successful drama series The Rookie with Nathan Fillion can already look back on 7 seasons and is far from being over. Alexi Hawley revealed how he imagines the future. A big comparison comes into play.

Big plans for The Rookie

The magazine The Wrap met with Alexi Hawley last month and discussed how to proceed. Hawley was very optimistic:

My end goal for ‘The Rookie’ is ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. I would love it if the series continues for the foreseeable future.

The series that Hawley alludes here is already running a very long period of time on TV with 21 seasons. Originally intended as a break filler for the summer, Grey’s Anatomy convinced from 2005 and became one of the most famous medical dramas ever.

Alexi Hawley believes in The Rookie

Although it cannot be assumed that the series maker The Rookie will start for two decades, he seems to see the future of his series confidently:

We did things in this season that we have never done beforewhat is great after over 100 episodes. I have the feeling that this series will run for a long time. People seem to like them and switch on.

The series is known for its mixture of loose humor and unpredictable turns. The previous recipe for success could also captivate the audience in front of the screens for a long period of time.

Planning a series in dimensions of a mega hit like Grey’s Anatomy seems a little cocky at this point. But the fact is that Hawley and his team have already come far – and successful. We can be excited to see how many will follow.
