The Rookie is a feel-good series, even though the heroes from the Los Angeles Police Department face crimes every day. Over six seasons, Nolan (Nathan Fillion), Chenford (Eric Winter and Melissa O’Neil) and Co. have become trusted binge companions for their audience, with whom they can quickly switch off everyday life. Almost like in a sitcom. Full House, for example.
Apparently a new addition to the cast thought so. Because thanks to a pretty nice video from Patrick Keleher, you can imagine what a sitcom opening credits for The Rookie would look like – and find out which long-time fan favorite could be promoted next season.
Newcomer Patrick Keleher turns The Rookie into Full House
The Rookie fans won’t get to know Patrick Keleher until the upcoming 7th season, in which he will join the series as rookie Seth Ridley. In September, the actor already shared his vision of the successful series on Instagram, including the Full House theme song and old-fashioned character introductions.

The stars are presented with their character names and pose in a pose that is not at all artificial (pay attention to the plaque that adores Melissa O’Neil’s Lucy Chen).
In the comments, fans particularly noticed one detail: Was Sergeant Wade Gray (Richard T. Jones) promoted to Lieutenant after all these years? At least the rank is next to his name.
Or as one comment puts it in dramatic capital letters:
THANKS FOR THE SPOILER!! NOW WE KNOW HE IS LIEUTENANT WADE GRAY!
In any case, the fans seem to begrudge Nathan Fillion’s Nolan’s patient mentor. However, no official confirmation has yet been found. Finally, it could also be that Keleher is not entirely up to date when it comes to the ranks in the LAPD.

When does The Rookie Season 7 start?
Since the 6th season of the crime series is only half as long, there was briefly hope that the new episodes would start as usual in the fall. But nothing will come of it. The Rookie season 7 won’t come until 2025.

The series with Nathan Fillion as a police career changer in Los Angeles is already in its 6th season and is achieving top ratings. In this episode of Streamgestrum we explain why this is the case. What makes The Rookie so original compared to the NCIS, FBI and SWATs of this TV world?
