– Train traffic from Gothenburg central is completely stopped right now. This needs to be removed and there are a lot of people waiting for their trains, says TV4 Nyheternas Johan Håkansson.
In addition, tram lines 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 in Gothenburg are forced to withdraw due to power cuts.
Tree chaos
As a result of the strong winds, around 30 trees have fallen across roads around Western Sweden.
– On county road 156 in Mark, a person drove into a tree and the car caught fire, says Caroline Karlsson, police spokesperson, to GP.
The driver of the car is not said to have received any physical injuries, but the police state that he was very shocked.
On Tjörnbron, a passenger car with a trailer overturned due to the strong winds. There, too, those involved should have managed without injury.

The Meteorologist: Stay inside
SMHI has issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds in large parts of western Sweden during Friday.
– The town wind goes over 30 meters per second, says TV4’s meteorologist Ulrika Elvgren.
It is expected to blow strongly for many hours to come and the meteorologist says that you should ideally stay indoors.
– And you have to make sure that nothing can fly around loose. You can actually get injured if you go out in this weather, says Ulrika Elvgren.
