Apart from being a lot of fun to play, this role has honestly changed my life completely. I mean, it has. Not only did it take everything to another level, but it also reached a whole different group of cinema fans.

Because for Molina, a superhero film was something completely new. So far we knew him from films like “Chocolat”, “Enchanted April”, and several others. Spider-Man then suddenly brought the actor a new audience.

One who was significantly younger than usual. Suddenly the children of his previous fans found him really cool and admired him in his role as Dr. Octopuses. And that despite the fact that the character comes across as quite dark.
