Evil Empire, the developer behind Dead Cells, is developing the new Prince of Persia game in collaboration with Ubisoft. The Rogue Prince of Persia It was revealed that it will be available in early access on Steam. The game will offer a roguelite experience that will be constantly updated and improved based on user feedback.
New Prince of Persia Game: Early Access Surprise from Evil Empire
The four-year development process for The Rogue Prince of Persia began shortly after a conversation between Ubisoft and Evil Empire at GDC in 2019. Franco-Belgian comics are cited as the inspiration for the game’s art direction. Although the official announcement has not been made yet, the game is expected to be available to users in early access on Steam in 2024. Evil Empire will be tasked with supporting the game after launch, meaning Motion Twin will not be producing any more content for Dead Cells.
During its Early Access period on Steam, Dead Cells was a huge success, selling over 850,000 copies, reaching 10 million copies by 2023. This raises expectations for Evil Empire’s new project, The Rogue Prince of Persia.
