The revenue of IT 500 companies reached 716 billion TL

The top 500 IT companies, whose total revenue reached 716 billion TL in 2023, achieved 93 percent growth compared to the previous year.

The following statement was made regarding the issue: The results of the “Informatics 500 – FIRST FIVE HUNDRED INFORMATION COMPANIES Research”, which was conducted for the 25th time this year with the motto “The universe does not like gaps”, were announced at the award ceremony held at Istanbul Beyoğlu Grand Pera – Emek Stage (Historical Emek Cinema) on Wednesday, August 7th. Within the scope of the Informatics 500 Research, awards were presented to the winners in 6 different main categories: “Distributor Category Awards”, “System Integrator and Business Partner Category Awards”, “Internationally Based Manufacturer / Manufacturer’s Representative Category Awards”, “Turkey Based Manufacturer Category Awards”, “Informatics 500 Plus Awards” and “Contribution to Turkish Economy Special Awards”. In the category of Contribution to Turkish Economy Special Awards of the research; the winner of the R&D investment category of the year was Logo Yazılım, while the winner of the artificial intelligence category of the year was Deeptech. Karel Elektronik was deemed worthy of the award as the winner of the Turkey-based manufacturer hardware category, Türk Telekom as the winner of the Turkey-based manufacturer service category, Intertech as the winner of the Turkey-based manufacturer software category, Arkel as the winner of the hardware export category, Teleperformance Turkey as the winner of the service export category, and Erka Group as the winner of the software export category.

According to the results of the research, in which companies are ranked in general and in their own categories according to their turnover information; Turkcell was at the top of the IT sector this year as well. The 10 largest IT companies in Turkey were listed as Turkcell, Türk Telekom, Vodafone, Indeks Bilgisayar, Teknosa, Arena, Bilkom Bilişim, Penta Teknoloji, Ingram Micro, Koç Sistem.

This year, 74 new companies were included in the survey, which ranks companies in general and in their own categories according to their turnover information. The total revenue of the companies included in the ranking in 2023 increased by 93 percent compared to 2022, reaching 716 billion TL. This figure, which is equivalent to 30 billion USD, was recorded as a growth of over 30 percent in dollar terms. The results of the survey revealed that investment in artificial intelligence has also shown significant momentum on the agenda where market dynamics, technologies and solutions are changing and developing. The artificial intelligence revenues of the top 500 IT companies grew by 185 percent compared to the previous year.

According to the research results; 140 of the companies included in the ranking showed growth over 100 percent. While the average growth of the first 5 companies with the highest growth was recorded as 680 percent, the highest growth was achieved by Prime Technology company with 1,468 percent.”
