Officially, the security conditions are not met for a resumption of face-to-face classes. This is the conclusion of a committee made up of consultants and former members of the police and appointed by the rector of the university.

Among the problems identified: the lack of toilets and catering facilities while the campus where the students live is still closed, due to renovation. But, also under the text, the fear of political gatherings as was the case last June

A new meeting no later than November 30

The last days. Students and teachers alike have all declared themselves in favor of an immediate resumption of classes. “ But if the State does not want to take over, what should we do? », questions a university director who participated in the meeting with university management.

The next meeting has been set for November 30 at the latest, with the promise of proposed dates for resuming face-to-face classes, but depending – once again – on the security environment.

While the campus, which houses nearly 40,000 students, has already announced that it will not reopen before the beginning of January, students and teachers fear that they will not be able to return to college before the presidential election next February.
