In 1982, the first Swedish child was born via in vitro fertilization, and now many of the children born through IVF have become adults.
Karin Hammarberg, nurse and researcher in women’s health, has followed the children for several years, which resulted in studies where the adult children had to answer questions about their quality of life.
And according to this study, the IVF children do better, at least psychologically, than other children.
– It may happen that it has had a positive effect on parenting, says Hammarberg.
