The Sami eat less moisture and vegetables than the general population. This appears in the large public health survey on the Sami that was published this week.

Lena Maria Nilsson, researcher at Lávvuo who was involved in developing the survey, is not surprised.

– The traditional Sami diet and in the traditional food, vegetables and fruit do not have a prominent role, she says.
