According to Michael Tärnfalk, you have to work preventively and on several different levels to get to the bottom of the problem where innocents are affected by gang violence.
– Partly on a structural level with the legislation, but you also have to get rid of the people who drive this development. It’s not that easy, because as soon as you get rid of someone, there’s someone new who wants to take this person’s place. But we have to get rid of them to be able to work preventively with the younger people who are on their way into this environment, he says.
