The House of Representatives’ January 6 committee has released its 845-page report on, among other things, Donald Trump’s role in the storming of the Capitol.
“None of what happened on January 6 would have happened without him,” the report said.
The congressional committee claims in its final report that former US President Donald Trump was illegally involved in a “multi-part conspiracy” to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
According to the report, he failed to stop his followers from attacking the Capitol.
“The central cause of what happened on January 6 was one man, former President Donald Trump, who many others followed”.
“None of what happened on January 6 would have happened without him,” the report said.
With the report now being released, the 18-month long investigation into the former president and the violent uprising two years ago is over.
On Monday, the committee that investigated Trump’s responsibility in the storm presented its conclusions, which are that Donald Trump should be prosecuted.
