A remarkable claim has been made about Apple. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is developing 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with the M3 chip.
“IN 2024…”
Gurman said he expects the updated laptops to launch in 2024.
The currently available 13-inch MacBook Air was announced in June 2022. The 15-inch model was introduced at the WWDC 2023 event held last week. Both models are currently powered by the M2 chip, which is based on TSMC’s 5nm manufacturing process.
The M3 chip is expected to be built on TSMC’s 3nm manufacturing process, resulting in significant performance and power efficiency improvements.
The M3 chip is also likely to have similar CPU and GPU core counts as the M2 chip.
CLAIM: “THIS MODELS ARE ALSO IN DEVELOPMENT STAGE”
In addition, Gurman reiterated his claim that the new iMac and 13-inch MacBook Pro models with the M3 chip are also in development.
The source expects the new iMac to launch early next year with a design similar to the current model in 2020, which still has the M1 chip.
