The remake of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag is being talked about again a year and a half after Kotaku revealed its existence through their well-sourced information. If at present Ubisoft has not confirmed anything about the existence of this restoration of the fourth episode of the Assassin’s Creed saga, Yves Guillemot had however confirmed that remake projects concerning the franchise had indeed been launched. However, the MP1ST site spotted the mention “Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Remake” on the LinkedIn profile of a Ubisoft employee who immediately changed his publication so as not to get a slap on the wrist. Luckily, the MP1ST site has not revealed the name of the person who leaked the information, but provides some juicy details. The first is that it will not only be a visual remake, but that we will be able to count on improvements in the gameplay, particularly in the combat system. The open world would also be enhanced, with a more vibrant ecosystem, offering more animals to make nature more dense and natural.

For its part, the Insider Gaming site explains that this remake will be released sooner than we think, in November 2025 itself, just 9 months after Assassin’s Creed Shadows. But this calendar is not surprising since the episode in Japan was supposed to be the 2024 episode, before it was shifted by several months to finally move to March 20, 2025. The game is also described like the game of last chance, before Ubisoft’s financial situation turned red and takeover decisions materialized…
