the release of the game postponed for the umpteenth time? The developer’s response

the release of the game postponed for the umpteenth time

Clearly, the development of SCORN has not been a long calm river. A time threatened by a failed first Kickstarter campaign in 2014, the project was truly launched in 2017 – still on the crowdfunding platform – with the ambition to release the game in a single block, whereas originally, the intention was to offer it in two parts. Officialized in 2020 on PC, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series, SCORN was supposed to be released in 2021. Unfortunately, a few hiccups caused its marketing to be postponed to October 2022.

The developers of Ebb Software may swear that this time it’s the right one, doubts remain. This is certainly the reason why the studio recently split a ticket on Steam, just to reassure the players. The director of the game (and incidentally boss of the structure), Ljubomir Peklar, explained in particular: “Last month, our 3D team finished creating the static meshes, which shows that the development of the game is progressing well. They hope to have everything completed for the month of June. Right now we’re focusing on animation and visual effects, not to mention debugging and fine-tuning anything that needs to be. We’re racing towards an October release and can’t wait to show you more.

A priori, everything is going well, but it is probably better to wait for SCORN to go gold to be sure that there will be no last minute twists. Finally, it would not be surprising if the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase is the opportunity to discover a new trailer of the game.
