This is not only TPS’s first Finnish championship but also its first time with Finnish Championship medals.

The match was watched by 540 spectators in the full hall of Porvoo, some of whom were Turku fans. Noora Rantanen, who scored the winning goal, arrived at ‘s interview emotionally in the middle of TPS’s festive humor.

– I can’t find the words right now. This is just incredibly great. I am so proud of our entire team, background teams, coaches, fans and just about everyone, Rantanen said and continued:

– The team has a really good spirit and everyone is playing for each other. Incredibly great people filled the whole team.

According to Rantanen, the first championship in club history was based on irrefutability. In the standings final, TPS played more than half of the match as a chaser.

– We continued to work until the end today. We gave our all and did not give up. The work rewarded this time, Rantanen rejoiced.

After two seasons at SB-Pro, the head coach returned to the helm of TPS Aki Vilander praised his team for their courage and perseverance in a tight spot.

A year ago, Vilander was a losing party with SB-Pro when the Finnish championship was won by PSS. Now Vilander was able to celebrate SM gold at the expense of PSS.

– I’m a little sensitive to me. This was the 21st game for us this spring season. It’s been a truckload, but the team has been damn tough. Even today, we still came from behind. This is a really good thing for floorball and Turku floorball. There’s a small boom on, that kind of itching, Vilander said.
