The ambition is to create coherent and tourist-friendly hiking opportunities along the Östgötaleden. Therefore, one-time funds of one million kroner are now being invested to investigate the conditions.
The goal is to strengthen the attractiveness of the Östgötalen and it is, among other things, about being able to offer good accommodation and dining experiences as well as sections for wilderness experiences.
– Making it more attractive to hike on the Östgötaleden, both for us Östgötlanders and for the increasing number of tourists, is positive both from a health perspective and for the tourism industry, says Per Larsson (KD), chairman of the regional development committee in a statement.
