The Recre coach resigns: “I have received a daily siege of attacks”

Recreativo de Huelva announced this Friday a termination agreement with its until now coach, Alberto Gallego, after announcing this through a statement that he renounces the additional contract season to which he was entitled after achieving promotion to the Second RFEF. Thus, Gallego will not direct the remaining League matches in group X of the Third RFEF against Cabecense and Tomares and Jaime Díaz, the subsidiary’s coach, will do so. In his resignation statement, Alberto Gallego, who had repeatedly said after the promotion that he was already thinking about the next season, expressed that he cannot be where he is not “wanted”but he did not name who is against him or what has happened and only hints that he expected a ratification in his position that has not occurred.

From the club it was highlighted in another statement, that they have mediated “permanently throughout the year to save any complex situation that could disturb the planned objective” and that “that conciliatory desire has made it possible to achieve the objective in a comfortable mannerAlong these lines, the albiazul sports director, Daniel Alejo, stated at a press conference this Good Friday that, given the coach’s statement, they understand that “I couldn’t continue for another minute at the club”.

He pointed out that said letter “is not up to the behavior and commitment of the club towards the coach, since at all times it had “built bridges always looking for solutions.” Alejo, who did not want to delve into the relationship between Gallego and the football team , commented on his role that has been to be “as close to the club as possible to defend its interests, he is neither for nor against the squad or the coach“, because “for the club the important thing was promotion”. In this new scenario, with Gallego out of the club, it is Jaime Díaz, coach of Atlético Onubense, who has already directed his first training session and who will sit on the Albiazul bench against Cabecense this Sunday and at the end of the season against Tomares.
