Building on excellent sales and feedback from the specialist press, Ray Ban Meta connected glasses continue to be updated with new functions.
While we had just delivered our test of the Ray Ban Meta connected glasses, they are already equipped with new features. Although some are only reserved for the United States and Canada, connected glasses still benefit from three major new features available in France.
First of all, the artificial intelligence of the Ray Ban Meta is better integrated into the glasses. They can now interact with what is in front of them. Users can therefore ask questions via the “Hey Meta” voice command and query the device about what they are observing. You can therefore very well ask him what the object is in front of you and the glasses will provide you with various information relating to it.
The other big new feature is real-time translation. Previously limited to certain languages, it is now possible to converse with a person and obtain a real-time translation into the French language via Ray Ban Meta. This translation now includes English, Spanish, French and Italian.
Last new feature and not the least: the integration of Shazam into Ray Ban Meta. By configuring the Shazam application on your phone, it is now possible to add it as a voice shortcut for connected glasses. So, when you want to know the name of music playing around you, it is now possible to ask the glasses: “Hey Meta, what is this song?” to get an answer.
Shazam integration is unfortunately only available in the United States and Canada at the moment. Ray Ban Meta owners who are members of the “early access” program can already benefit from the new features on their connected glasses via an update available a few hours ago.
