At the end of the day, we saw the zebra calf trotting around,” says Verdonck. The calf drank quickly after birth and stood up almost immediately. “The other zebras, impalas and beisa oryxes have already met the young foal. Now that that has gone well, it is the giraffes’ turn to meet the zebra calf.”
