The rally website is expecting a tough solution from Toyota for the World Rally Championship season 2025 | Sports in a nutshell

Two additional races for Sami Pajar in a Rally1 car

Toyota may run as many as five cars in next season’s World Series.

Rally site According to Dirtfish Toyota is considering the option of using as many as five Rally1 cars in next season’s World Series.

Kalle Rovanperä and Elfyn Evans are driving a full season in 2025. Sebastien Ogier still wants to run some of the races.

Takamoto Katsuta has not been successful this season and Sami Pajari drive in his place in the Chile World Rally. According to Dirtfish, Toyota is now considering whether to consider all five next season.

– We want to invest in the future. We want to train young drivers. Sami fits that profile well. We also want Taka (Katsuta) to develop and get more consistency because we know he has speed, Toyota team manager Jari-Matti Latvala said to Dirtfish.

– So our goal is to find something for both. At this point, I cannot say more, as the negotiations are ongoing.

Only three cars can compete for manufacturers’ World Championship points. One of Toyota’s sources told the rally website that “everything is being considered”.

– Of course, Toyota has the opportunity to drive five cars, but maybe it would be better if one or two drive in a satellite team, the source mumbled.
