The railings on the 226-year-old bridge in Borensberg are to be repainted – car traffic is affected

The work will continue for the next six weeks and the accessibility of car traffic on the bridge will be affected, the Swedish Transport Agency announces.

On weekdays (06-08 and 15-17), traffic will be regulated with traffic lights. Cyclists and pedestrians will be able to cross the bridge as usual.

The bridge over the Motala stream is a so-called stone arch bridge and was built in 1797, when it replaced an earlier wooden bridge.
