Even during her summer talk in 2018, Bianca spoke openly about her eating disorder. Over the years, Bianca has also talked about how it feels to be a role model for hundreds of thousands of young people.

In an interview with Elle, Bianca was asked how she sees her role as a role model for young girls.

– That’s where I learn over time. People can eat in different ways. I’ve always said I’m not trying to be a role model. At the beginning of 2024, Bianca Ingrosso came into focus during a heated debate in Sweden. This then Camilla Gervidewho runs Blogbevakning, began to question the prevailing size zero ideal where several influencers, among other things, engaged in something called “rib cage bragging”.

The influencer Lovisa Worge, whose image created strong reactions, then went out and promised improvement from her side.

“Over the past few days, there has been a debate about a very complex topic. I have therefore taken the time to read about all the different angles and want to express myself in a genuine and respectful way. I have taken part, read and heard and understand the problem in this debate. My intention was never to encourage or provoke unhealthy ideals. I understand the problem of such an image sending out wrong signals. And to all of you who have heard off your kind words. I’m fine,” she wrote on her Instagram.

Bianca Ingrosso was also met with criticism for some of the material she shared on social media.

Before the interview, Bianca Ingrosso wanted to approve the questions in advance – and the journalist received clear instructions about which subjects were totally forbidden to cover.

In a chronicle in The Gothenburg Post writes Piauger about the trips before the planned interview and about how the team at CAIA Cosmetics sent an email that read:

“All questions you are going to ask must be approved via email by us first, so it is important that unapproved questions are not asked during the interview”. They also wrote that “Questions about ideals and how young girls choose to spend their money” are not questions that will be answered.

In the column, Piauger reveals the questions he intended to ask Bianca Ingrosso.

  • How does she view her role as a role model?
  • What does she think about our age’s obsession with appearance?
  • Was she treated differently because of her success and wealth?
  • He also wonders if it is the ideals of 14 and 15-year-olds that Bianca Ingrosso does not want to talk about – and if so, why not?
  • There was no interview, writes Piauger. The team behind Bianca canceled the interview at the last moment as they were not allowed to approve the questions in advance.
