In their plan, the province focuses, among other things, on weather extremes. An example of this is the attention to prolonged and extreme heat. The province also mentions the risk of forest fires on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. “We must realize that the impact of this on our lives is great,” says deputy Has Bakker. “That is why we must be prepared for such situations, so that we can respond when it affects us.”
