“Especially now that the pressure on the ground is increasing, it is important to deal carefully with the space in the air,” the core group writes in a letter to State Secretary for Infrastructure Mark Harbers. “The airspace is not merely intended to facilitate the growth of air traffic. In our opinion, it is of crucial importance that new approach routes do not lead to further growth of aviation and that decision-making about this is precisely in line with the starting point of a contraction of aviation in The Netherlands.”
