Four men are detained on suspicion of involvement in terrorist crimes and one is released. Four men were detained and one person was released at Friday’s detention hearings on being labeled a terrorist crime in Eskilstuna district court. One of the people detained is a 15-year-old boy who, according to information given to TV4 Nyheterna, was previously on the Security Police’s radar. – This is a crime that was intended to be committed in Sweden. There are international connections and there are connections to IS, says prosecutor Lars Hedwall to TV4 Nyheterna after the negotiations. The five people were arrested in a dawn raid on Tuesday and have since been suspected of the crime on probable grounds. The prosecutor states that there are currently no more suspects. – But it is too early in the process to decide that. We are constantly getting new information through the material we have collected, he says. Prosecutor: The 15-year-old had an important role Three of the men arrested were aged 24, 25 and 29. The fourth arrested, the 15-year-old boy, was the youngest of the five arrested earlier this week. – As far as serious organized crime is concerned, it is young people who commit serious crimes. Then there is a need to have them detained, says the prosecutor. Lars Hedwall cannot give a detailed account of the 15-year-old’s role in the terror plans, but says that he had an important role. – He and others have had an important role, yes.
