As several media told on Monday, a boy of high school age has been called in as suspected of pronouncing the threat that caused several schools in the church school’s area in Ludvika to close on Thursday.
“What I can say is that the boy would have said to peers, a threat that some would be injured at school with a firearm,” says prosecutor Mattias Ardhe Garrido and continues:
– There is information in the investigation that the threat has been said in a playful context, but I cannot go into detail in detail.
Has any weapon been seized?
– No.
Suspected for 15 years
Prosecutor Mattias Ardhe Garrido wants to clarify that since the suspect is under 15 years, no preliminary investigation is conducted, but instead an investigation is done on young offenders who will provide the social service with the basis for how to proceed with the boy.
What has the boy said about the charges when he was heard by the police?
– It is difficult to say that he denies crime because he is not suspected of criminal offense, but he has said that it has not been his sense to hurt anyone, the prosecutor says.
Cannot be punished
The investigation may also end up in a court proceedings, but in that case it is only to determine whether the youth has done what it is accused of, and no criminal sanction can be distributed.
