May enter into force May 15
Now the government’s bill is ready to, among other things, limit access to computers and mobile phones for people in Sis homes. In the referral, it is written that the proposal should increase safety and security at the residences.
The proposal was sent to the Legislative Council on Thursday and is supposed to come into effect on May 15.
Divided into security levels
The government writes that they propose that Sis homes should be divided into security levels.
In the referral, it is written that those cared for in Sis homes with an increased security level should only be allowed to communicate with “equipment that is provided or approved by the State Board of Institutions and to the extent that it is appropriate.”
“The government also proposes that SiS should be given increased opportunities to decide on further restrictions and control of the use of electronic communication services at special youth homes.
