He invested the money he collected with the Kickstarter scam into NFT
TitanReach, which started its Kickstarter journey through becoming a “Runescape-style MMO” in 2020, failed to raise the targeted $430,000. After that, the game’s producer, Square Root Studios, switched to the monthly donation system and continued to receive support from the player community. However, despite all efforts, the money collected could not exceed 200 thousand dollars, and the executive producer of the game called “Unravel” announced that the project was canceled in August 2021.
However, the following month, a user named Unravel wrote on his Discord channel that the money needed for the game was collected thanks to an anonymous donor. However, after this good news, the development process of the game stopped again last week.
Unravel received a very harsh response from the community when it announced that it had exhausted the donations and plans to integrate the NFT system into the game. Thereupon, all social media accounts, including the game’s Discord server and website, were closed.
According to the claim of KiraTV, which prepared a video on the subject, the mysterious donor, who gave TitanReach the support it needed, cut its support for the game after Unravel invested 150 thousand dollars in cryptocurrencies and made a loss and bought himself a Tesla brand car.
After all, another Kickstarter adventure ended in fraud.
