The Swedish Transport Administration is investing heavily in a campaign where they will inform about what they call “track running”.
– In Västernorrland County, the problem can be seen most clearly in Sundsvall, said Peter Jonsson, press communicator at the Swedish Transport Administration during the press conference.
At the press conference there were, among others, train drivers, police and personnel from the Swedish Transport Administration, and train driver Henrik Persson’s call to those who bother the tracks is clear. In Västernorrland County, unauthorized persons on the track caused 119 trains to be delayed in 2022.
“Take care of yourselves”
– Respect the tracks. Respect, says Henrik Persson.
The production manager at the traffic center in Ånge, David Nordberg, agrees with his call.
– Stop. Respect what applies and think for yourself. Be smart, don’t cross the tracks, don’t crawl under barriers. Respect what applies and take care of yourselves, says David Nordberg.
