The Prime Minister opened up Harpsund

The manor’s park and garden were opened up to neighbors and residents nearby during the afternoon.

Children were also offered a rowing trip with Harpsundsekan, with Kristersson at the oars.

The manor, which was originally a manor house, is located in the municipality of Flen in Södermanland and was owned by industrial leader Carl August Wicander.

Upon the owner’s death in 1952, it was donated to the Swedish state with the condition that the main building be used as a recreational and representative residence for the prime minister.

The Riksdag accepted the donation in 1953.

Since then, Harpsund has been, among other things, a popular place to receive foreign heads of state.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) invited neighbors and residents in the immediate area to an afternoon in Harpsund’s park and garden.
