An extra-EU summit on a sixth sanctions package against Russia is now under way in Brussels. Among other things, a joint trade embargo against Russian oil is proposed, a proposal that has previously been blocked by several countries that are dependent on oil, including Hungary. A compromise solution where deliveries via pipeline would be exempt from the embargo is also being discussed, something that the Prime Minister is open to – see more in the player above.
