Sánchez said last Wednesday that he will take a break from his public duties for a period of consideration.
The prime minister points to the extreme right as the source of the accusations
Accusations against the Prime Minister’s spouse have been made by the Manos Limpias organization, which has connections with the Spanish extreme right. The representatives of the Manos Limpias organization have admitted that the complaint is based on news supporting the extreme right.
The court found no grounds for legal proceedings.
– Demonstrations of solidarity from all sectors of society encourage us to continue, the Prime Minister said.
Demonstrations in support of the prime minister were organized in Spain at the end of the week.
The Socialist Prime Minister has led the coalition government since 2018.
