Today, the Riksdag holds its last party leader debate before the summer break and the election. First out is, as usual, the Prime Minister.
She begins in a much more conciliatory tone compared to yesterday’s statements about the no – confidence vote.
– I love Sweden. It is a privilege to wake up and do what is best for our country, says Andersson.
She recalls that reality has changed since Russia invaded Ukraine, that Sweden is now building a strong national defense and that Sweden has applied for membership in NATO
– Now we all who love Sweden must work together. Not least us who support NATO membership, says Andersson.
She calls for respect in the upcoming election campaign and in the political debate.
– Respect lives here even if it is worn out. Democracy lives here, says Andersson.
Then she took on social problems in Sweden that need to be solved.
– We are stronger when we work together. For our Sweden can do better, Andersson said.
