– We have good staffing there and also various support teams. The principal and staff also had contact with students on Thursday evening, says Lisa Edholm, primary school principal in Eskilstuna.
How have the reactions been among staff and students?
– Yesterday was of course tumultuous and shocking for everyone involved. But the staff handled it exemplary.
Canceled activities
Lisa Edholm tells us that they have planned how the students will be received, and that they also try to have as normal a school day as possible.
Why have planned activities for various schools, such as visits to Parken Zoo, been cancelled?
– When there was an event that was so big and serious, we needed to think about what we were going to do on Friday. There are an incredible number of outdoor activities now before the end of school and we canceled some major events where many young people would be at the same time.
– But next week the activities will continue as usual, says Lisa Edholm.
