Released on PC, Xbox Series and Xbox One on December 13, High on Life quickly gained notoriety as the latest game developed by Squanch Games, the studio founded by Justin Roiland, also known for being the co-author of Rick and Morty. FPS which takes place in an absurd and colorful science fiction world, whose particularity is to highlight guns with words and which interact with the player, High on Life unfortunately did not convince the press. Going to Metacritic, we see that the game gets the painful average score of 68% for a total of 21 reviews listed, which is far from making it a banger to use the terms of streamers who shine in society. Worse, going further in the analysis, we see that High on Life stands out above all for its humor but that on the gameplay side, it’s a bit of a cold shower, with sensations not always there. On the other hand, when we take a look at the user rating, the game is much more appreciated, since it comes out with a nice 7.8/10. The success is there anyway, since High on Life has become the biggest launch of a game on the Xbox Game Pass, pushing Microsoft to make a great promo since. For many, the absence of first-party games this year again on Xbox has allowed the title to take advantage of the situation, and that in any case, it is a game cut out for the Xbox Game Pass.
