Former US President and Republican Party presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke at the Economic Club in New York, USA, as part of his election campaign. Arguing that the US economy was facing a disaster at the beginning of his speech, Trump said, “We are facing an economic crisis due to the radical policies of my former opponent Joe Biden and my new opponent Kamala Harris. Our nation is facing failure and serious decline.”
“ELON MUSK ACCEPTED”
Trump said Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has agreed to chair a commission to improve the efficiency of the US government. “I will create a commission to improve the efficiency of the government, which will monitor the finances and performance of the federal government and make recommendations for fundamental reforms. We need to do this. We can’t continue in our current form,” Trump said.
Trump said, “Elon agreed to lead this task force because he’s not too busy,” and argued that the commission led by Musk would reduce waste and save trillions of dollars.
THE PROMISE OF “AN ECONOMIC RENAISSANCE”
Addressing business executives and industry leaders at the Economic Club of New York, Trump vowed to lead an “economic renaissance” by increasing energy production, embracing cryptocurrencies, radically reducing government spending and tax cuts for companies manufacturing in the United States.
Trump has said that if elected to a second term, he would declare a national emergency as soon as he takes office to dramatically increase U.S. energy supplies, repealing 10 old regulations for every new one. “My plan will quickly defeat inflation, rapidly lower prices, and reignite explosive economic growth,” Trump said.
“WE WILL DROP THE GALLON PRICE TO UNDER 2 DOLLARS”
Trump has promised to reduce the price of a gallon of gasoline (about $3.78) to below $2 by reducing red tape and drilling more oil. “We will lower the price of a gallon of gasoline to below $2. We will lower the price of everything from electricity to food to airfare to housing,” Trump said.
Trump accused US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris of embracing the ideologies of Communism and Marxism. Trump said, “She promises a massive amnesty with price controls, confiscation of property from the rich, destruction of energy, reparations, the largest tax hike ever implemented, and citizenship for tens of millions of immigrants. This means spending trillions of dollars on federal benefits and destroying Social Security and Healthcare.”
“Harris is demanding four more years of authority to implement his radical left-wing program that is a threat to every family in America and to America itself,” Trump said.
