She was elected by PRO’s ongoing congress in Upplands Väsby.
“Right now the pension issue is in the absolute political hot air and politicians are discussing how pensions can be raised. I would like to believe that PRO has contributed to this, and I can promise that we will do everything we can to raise the general pension”, says Åsa Lindestam, who represents the Social Democrats in the Riksdag, in a press release.
She succeeds Christina Tallberg, who has held the position for seven years.
