Hungarian Speaker László Kövér criticizes Sweden and says the country has had enough, according to an interview with the site Index.

He also closes the door to an extraordinary summons of Parliament.

When asked if it is now likely that Hungary will be the last to ratify Sweden’s NATO application, he answers:

– Why would this be difficult for us? If Sweden doesn’t feel that way, I don’t feel bothered for a second. On the other hand, someone has to be last.

Among other things, he criticizes Sweden for treating Hungary with arrogance.

According to the Swedish government, Hungary has promised not to be the last to ratify the Swedish NATO application.

The Hungarian parliament is on winter break until February 26, but can be convened extra if a majority wants it. The opposition has demanded just this.

However, the Speaker does not seem to care much.

– I do not feel that anything is urgent for us, I do not think that an extraordinary situation has arisen, says László Kövér.
