TV4 cuts back on both programs and employees in order to save money. The announcement that came in September 2023 has meant breaks for long-running shows such as “Parliament”, “Talang” and “Let’s Dance”, which Nyheter24 previously wrote about. Most recently it was the news anchor Anna Lindmarker who were affected by the cuts at TV4 and as a result decided to quit. Read more about it here.
Rania Shemoun Olsson leaves “Nyhetsmorgon”
Now the presenter is forced Rania Shemoun Olsson leave “News morning”.
– “News morning” looks different from semester to semester with different presenters. This spring, we need fewer full-time presenters and Rania will above all do the news in “News morning”, says program manager Johanna Thulin Bratten to The Express in an interview.
On Instagram, Shemoun Olsson writes that she will continue to be part of the team at “Nyhetsmorgon” but not as a presenter. Instead, she will return to broadcast news on TV4. She warmly thanks all viewers who have reached out with thoughts, compliments and questions. In the comment section on Instagram, viewers pay tribute to her.

After the relocation, she will still remain as a news anchor. To the viewers, she greets: “See you in the window!”.
