You can play World of Warcraft Dragonflight pre-patch 10.0. The test realm is live – and everyone can join.
You can already try some of the biggest innovations of WoW: Dragonflight – and without beta access! The Pre-Patch 10.0 has been applied to the PTR and is now available for everyone to try.
What to try on the PTR? Above all, the big system changes are already playable in the pre-patch, which is mainly the revised talent system, which has been fundamentally revised. But all other class changes can be played and tried out.
What will happen to the talent system? In Dragonflight, each class gets multiple talent trees that are similar to those from the vanilla era of World of Warcraft. Each specialization has two talent trees, each with its own points.
There are many skills in the specialization tree that WoW players have known for years. Almost all abilities that belong to the absolute base rotation of a class must be unlocked here. However, there are also many interesting innovations and recurring talents that come from previous expansions. Numerous pact abilities from Shadowlands can be found there, but also old Azerite powers or abilities of the former Legion artifact weapons.
How to try this? If you want to see Dragonflight’s new talent system and other pre-patch changes for yourself, you’ll need to download the corresponding client for the test realm. It’s easy to do in the Battle.net app.
After the installation is complete, you can launch the game and log yourself into the PTR and create a character to try out the new features.
Note, however, that anything you earn on the Dragonflight PTR or Beta will not carry over to the live game. Your characters will be deleted at the end of the testing period and will not affect your live version in any way.
So when is the patch going live? There is no specific release date for the pre-patch yet. However, at least a rough release date can be estimated, since we know a few key data:
This means that the pre-patch will probably be released in mid-October at the earliest and at the end of November at the latest. That way you can plan at least roughly.
Have you tried the PTR yet? How do you like the new talents?
