Its spokesperson, Justin Koné Katinan, denounced on Saturday fraud, corruption and cronyism on the part of the ruling party, as well as electoral division deemed unfair. Comments collected by our correspondent in Abidjan, Marine Jeannin.

The fraud manifested itself in several forms. One of the forms noted is transhumance, which consists of transporting people from one geographical area to another just to vote for a candidate. This has become a constant in elections in Côte d’Ivoire. It was particularly evident during the weekend of September 2. Multiple votes from certain voters were noted by many candidates. All these forms were only possible through the buying of voters’ consciences. No one can, in good faith, dispute that enormous sums, beyond the reach of the PPA-CI candidates, were distributed by the candidates in power to buy the vote of voters. This practice, in itself, constitutes proof that corruption in the management of public affairs under the RHDP is the thing best shared, to the point where it no longer disturbs the national conscience. »

The party also announced its intention to reorganize to prepare for the 2025 presidential election.
