The chain Power has noticed that their brand is used in fraud and that customers have received fake sms from fraudsters who claim to be from the brand.
“All the time, attempts take place where scam messages and sms are sent out of senders who pretend to represent Power and use our logo in a misleading manner. These messages often come from telephone numbers and email addresses that are not linked to the real company but look similar out. ”, Power writes on his homepage.
So do you know that the text message is from the chain
Power itself only sends out SMS with sender “power” with capital letters. Their web orders start with number 21 and the number to contact us them via customer service is 08 517 66,000.
If you have received a text message then you have to review so these things are correct, to be absolutely sure that it is not a fraud.
Fraud pages pretend to be power
The content of the text may include texts such as: “Congratulations – you are one of 100 selected customers” and “You have been selected to participate in this exclusive survey”. If you have received such a message, you should be extra on your guard as it can be fraud.
Power has also seen that a website flourishes with the name “www.power-verige.com”. This is said to be a fraud site that Power is not behind.
Power.se is the only website from which the chain sells its goods.
