“Lack of broccoli this spring”

Several countries on the continent have been hit by floods in key growing areas, preventing them from planting in time for a spring harvest.

Spain is also affected by the abnormal weather.

– Broccoli may be in short supply later this spring, confirms Hannah Croftagronomist at Riverford selling vegetable boxes, to The Guardian and continues:

– Spanish suppliers, who grow much of our winter broccoli, have faced setbacks due to heavy autumn rains, causing quality issues and delayed planting for spring crops. This has pushed forward harvest schedules, meaning there is a possibility of a late spring gap.
